Problem Note 69554: The Select Portfolio Data window is unresponsive and returns "An HTTP error occurred (504 - error)" in SAS® Model Implementation Platform

When configuring a SAS Model Implementation Platform (MIP) run, you open the Select Portfolio Data window that returns a list of SAS data tables in the SAS Model Implementation Platform portfolio data folder (work-group-directory/input/portfolios/).
The window might be unresponsive under either (or both) of the following conditions:
- The portfolio data folder contains SAS data views.
- You open the Select Portfolio Data window multiple times.
In some cases, after approximately 15 minutes, the following pop-up error might be returned:
Unable to Retrieve Portfolio Data
An HTTP error occurred (504 - error)
An HTTP error occurred (504 - error)
The window can return only approximately 5,000 SAS data views. That limit is fixed per each user SAS Model Implementation Platform session. This error occurs once the SAS data views limit is exceeded.
Workaround
There are two options to work around this issue:
- Log out of SAS Model Implementation Platform and log back in, which resets the data view limit.
- Archive old SAS data views in the portfolio folder and then move the SAS data views to another folder.
